WDRB-TV News (Louisville) reports that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet "has met the conditions needed to join the E-Z Pass Group’s decision-making board before an April 30 deadline. . . . Kentucky sought to join ahead of the scheduled start of tolling on the Ohio River Bridges Project by the end of 2016."

Gwinnett Daily Post (Lawrenceville) reports that Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry told a May 4 business gathering that he expects construction to begin on the I-85 high-occupancy toll lane extension project in August. According to the newspaper, McMurry said, "They are actually working through design now, getting the permits in place and ready to turn dirt in August. That’s about a $149-$150 million investment in mobility and trying to bring mobility up the northeast side of the county. . . ."
